Helping your child to feel better
As a Child and Family Mental Wellbeing Practitioner I work therapeutically with children using counselling and play therapy techniques. I can help your child work through difficulties, learn to understand and cope with emotions and to feel in control, more confident and happier. By also helping your child understand their personal strengths I build on their resilience to be able to manage life, whatever challenges they are facing.
I also work with families, offering both parenting support and the chance to gently explore the dynamics of your family, how to make things better and build on your strengths.
I work in a non-judgemental and friendly way, believing that parents and carers are the experts in their child's life.
Worrying about your child is a natural part of being a parent or carer. I offer a warm space within which we can explore your own and your child's concerns.
It can sometimes be difficult to manage and understand your child's behaviour so it can be good to talk it through within a safe and supportive environment.
